Servco Australia Toyota dealer group has completed the purchase of Cannon Toyota in Melbourne, according to the company. The deal lifts Servco’s footprint in Australia to 18 dealerships and makes the Hawaiʻi-affiliated operation the largest Toyota dealer group in the country.
Cannon Toyota, based in the Heidelberg suburb of Melbourne, will operate as a branch of Melbourne City Toyota under Dealer Principal Rod Ayoubi.
“We started with only one dealership just over 10 years ago, so to now be the largest Toyota dealer group in Australia is quite the accomplishment for us,” said Nick Pappas, managing director of Servco Australia.
With the Cannon Toyota acquisition, Servco Australia now includes 15 Toyota outlets, three Lexus dealerships, one Hino dealership, and one dealership each for Jeep, Isuzu UTE, and Subaru.
Servco Pacific Inc., headquartered in Hawaiʻi, is the state’s largest privately held company, reporting more than $1.6 billion in annual revenue.

The Cannon Toyota purchase from Brent Cannon and Robert Little adds to Servco’s Melbourne presence and consolidates its leadership within Toyota’s retail network in Australia. The group’s growth began just over a decade ago with a single dealership and has steadily progressed through strategic acquisitions.

Gutierrez brings more than two decades of design and development experience and previously served as senior director of development at GGP, one of the nation’s largest redevelopers, owners and operators of retail properties.

Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi appointed Anita DeMello as chief financial officer. She will oversee finances and advance financial strategies to support the nonprofit’s long-term success. DeMello has 34 years of financial management experience, including roles as controller at TeamPraxis LLC and Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi.
