A 14-year-old boy was arrested early Wednesday after a Waianae machete threat and vehicle theft, according to Honolulu police.

Investigators said the teen threatened a woman with a machete in the Waiʻanae area, then took her vehicle. Officers later located the juvenile and took him into custody after what police described as an armed threat and theft incident similar to a recent Honolulu airport car theft case.
