Benjamin Satterley dies at 40, the English-born professional wrestler best known to fans as “Pac,” according to an announcement posted late Sunday on All Elite Wrestling’s website. AEW did not disclose a cause of death.
Satterley, from Newcastle upon Tyne, launched his career in 2004 and signed with AEW in 2019, where he captured multiple championships. AEW noted his impact on the roster and global fan base.
He competed on Saturday in Chicago, where he faced Andrade El Ídolo for the AEW National Championship and was defeated.
According to his booking agency MN2S, Satterley began training at age 18 after developing an interest in wrestling through his aunt, a fan of the WWF. His high-flying style earned him nicknames including “The Super Superman” and “The Man That Gravity Forgot.”
He began wrestling internationally in 2007 and performed under the ring name Adrian Neville from 2012 to 2018. After joining AEW, he became the inaugural AEW International Champion and twice held the AEW World Trios Championship.
Tributes poured in from around the wrestling world. Fellow wrestler Will Ospreay wrote on X that Satterley was “the greatest export from our country” and “the greatest human being,” adding he was honored to have shared the ring with him.
