The Anahola brush fire that flared up Saturday afternoon near Hokualele Road, Aliomanu Road and Kuhio Highway has been fully extinguished, according to the Kauaʻi Fire Department.

Dispatchers received the report shortly after 4:05 p.m. Crews contained the flames and later cleared the scene.

Officials said there were no injuries and no damage to nearby structures.

Responding units included personnel from the Kaiākea Fire Station, Tanker 3 and the Kauaʻi Police Department. Police handled traffic control while firefighters worked to put out the fire.

The cause was not immediately available. Fire officials said no additional updates are anticipated unless significant new information emerges.
