The Class of 2028 outside hitter from Kamehameha announced her verbal commitment to the University of Michigan, reaching a longtime goal before stepping into her junior campaign. Her decision follows years of early mornings, demanding workouts and countless hours in the gym, according to Diaz.

Diaz described the recruiting process as one that required discipline and focus, culminating in the opportunity to join the Wolverines. She shared that the journey was driven by consistency in training and support from coaches, teammates and family.
The commitment adds to Hawaiʻi’s strong pipeline of high-level volleyball talent making an impact on the college stage. Diaz will continue her prep career with Kamehameha this fall while preparing for her future in the Big Ten and competing in Hawaiʻi’s volleyball community.
