Tropical Storm Lala is forecast to bring storm surge and severe weather to the Hawaiian Islands, potentially beginning later today. In response, Young Brothers announced additional schedule adjustments and cargo acceptance changes, and warned customers to expect delays.
The interisland shipper said it anticipates disruptions to voyages and availability, and is adjusting operations accordingly. The company added that it will work closely with the U.S. Coast Guard through the weekend to monitor conditions and follow directives.
Sailing schedule and cargo acceptance updates
Today (Aug. 14): Nāwiliwili, Kauaʻi, and Kahului, Maui, sailings to Honolulu
- These two ports will not accept refrigerated cargo, hazardous material, or livestock.
Saturday (Aug. 15): All ports
Young Brothers said, “We will continue to provide updates on operations at each port as we respond to the directives issued by the U.S. Coast Guard.”
